Cemitere de Montparnasse

Bonsoir mes amis!
It seems that Paris is either frigid and sunny, or warm(ish) and rainy.  But I am confident the weather is only going to get better!  After my writing workshop class today, I went to visit the Montparnasse Cemetery.  If you remember from my previous post with a clip from Paris Je t'aime, the tourist from Colorado visits the cemetery as well.  It is the final resting place of many Parisians, both prominent and not.

There were a lot of small chapel like buildings with family names around the cemetery

Apparently you can have a memorial statue of you and your wife lounging in bed...

Simone de Beauvoir et Jean-Paul Sartre

Statue of an Angel with the word "souvenir" (remember)

And on a lighter note, today I booked my February vacation to London!  I'll have 5 days to explore the city, see the sights, and hopefully meet Kate Middleton, aka the Duchess of Cambridge.   I'd be glad to meet Pippa Middleton too! Or Prince Harry!  Let me know what your favorite sights are in London in a comment and hopefully I'll be able to visit it!

Bisous,
Allison
