Un petit rigolo....

And now for something lighthearted and amusant.  I just finished a devoir sur table (in class essay) on Louis XIV and the Nobles and.......wait for it..........IT WASN'T THAT BAD!  I was allowed to have a French/English dictionary which was very much appreciated, and I finished before some of the French kids in the class.  Not quite sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing....but there's no point in worrying about it now!!  Onto the next thing, which to be specific is a visit to Versailles tomorrow, Easter Weekend, a paper on Hemingway, an expose on the Collaborators during WWII, and an expose on Parlementaires during the reign of Louis XIV.  Zut alors!  Then it's two weeks of much needed vacation in Italy and the South of France.

Back to the point of the post, quelque chose drole.  The French are a wonderful people, and I love them very much, but sometimes they need to be laughed at.  I'm sure they laugh at Americans too.

Pierre Escargot, one of the best parts of All That, a 90's TV show.  Keenan is now on SNL!

Un bonne dessin (comic strip)
Cyanide and Happiness, a daily webcomic
And it's not all that 'cray'! Who doesn't like eating baguettes EVERY SINGLE DAY??

Et maintenant, a video featuring Jean Dujardin (Best Actor in The Artist) and Zooey Deschanel.

Les Jeunes de Paris

Kudos to SNL for using the subjunctive mood at the start of the sketch.  Bien Fait!  I also love Joan of Arc busting up the fight, and Andy Samberg as the Phantom of the Opera.  And who doesn't love Jean Dujardin in a suit? Oh la la.......

Bisous,
Allison
